Seniors may attend in-person with 3 guests, and the event will be live-streamed for all others. From Mr. Mufarreh:

Our HS students had a very successful few weeks of chamber music performance/recordings. We are in the process of editing and compiling all of the recordings to share with our families, please check our FB page as well as the new section for information on this performance!

All of our band students are in preparation for our Celebration of the Arts Performance (scheduled for May 15th). While we are hoping for a typical performance like it years past, we are entertaining alternative ideas. Please be flexible as we are finalizing details to share with families as soon as we can!

From Mrs. Witham

Parent teacher conferences are this week! Please sign-up above if you would like to meet to discuss your students progress.

To echo Mr. Mufarreh, please keep on the lookout for information regarding Celebration of the Arts, especially for our younger students who have not had much of an opportunity to perform. We are hoping to put on a great event for our students. Details soon!

From Mr. Mufarreh:

Lots to update on since our last newsletter! First, Jazz Band and Pep Band have officially started!

Pep Band

The game schedule for Pep Band can be found here (LINK). It is a short season, but we are excited nevertheless. Please note that due to spectator restrictions, only the student performers are allowed to attend the game .

Jazz Band

Jazz Band has been meeting every Wednesday so far to learn basic Jazz standards, as well as the basics of improvisation. We are hoping to perform at our Celebration of the Arts in May.

HS & MS Band

Our HS Students have been hard at work in their Chamber groups (groups of 2-5), and are excited to share their music making with everyone soon on March 12th. Link for live stream will be shared out to families. Our 6-8th grade band students have been working hard to solidify their core band sound, and our 7th and 8th grade students will begin preparations for festival.

From Mrs. Witham

We are happy to say that 5th grade band is steadily moving along! We can now play 3 notes and students in both 5th and 6th grade bands should be practicing weekly with smartmusic to prepare or complete play tests!

Parent/teacher conferences are quickly approaching! I will be sending home a progress report at the end of the week for face-2-face students whether a conference would be beneficial or not necessary! Parents of virtual students will be getting an email ONLY if a conference may be beneficial.
